This week DBI dishes on Hitch Design Studio.
A little over a year ago, Carrie Kuhl and Renee Halgerson “hitched” their successful freelance businesses to bring Hitch Design Studio to the heart of Brookings.
Hitch Design is much more than just weddings. They’re retail too! It is your gift destination for unique stationary items including: journals, planners, cards, address books, recipe cards, iPhone and iPad cases and the list goes on. There is a little something for everyone for any occasion. All cards are “buy 3, get 1 free” to send your message to others for weddings, babies, graduates, friends and whatever else you need. The collections also have some jewelry options and small cosmetic bags. Stop in to see what all the vendors hand picked by Hitch Design Studio have to offer.
In addition to being a great gift source, Hitch Design is there to help small businesses. Carrie and Renee will take care of all your business branding needs from custom logo design to developing a successful website. Make Hitch Design part of your team. If you have some big ideas but need a little help getting it down in writing, Hitch has the tools for you.
Of course, for those of you who are about to be “hitched,” Hitch Design Studio is your first stop. They do wedding coordinating and decorating along with perfectly handcrafted invitations. Hitch Design Studio will combine your personal style and ideas to create the dream-come-true wedding you’ve always wanted.
Carrie and Renee made their dream come true when coming together to make Hitch Design Studio happen. Carrie already had a shop open and Renee was looking to begin one. “Owning my own business had always tugged at my heart,” Renee added. They decided to join forces and fulfill a need that they recognized in Brookings. Within two months, Hitch Design Studio was ready to help others turn their dreams into a reality. Carrie said, “The timing of everything was crazy perfect.” Hitch Design Studio feels it is important to give back. They are always welcoming of questions and have offered internships, guided students and entrepreneurs, donated to local fundraisers, participated in 1 Million Cups and so much more.
